EN 15546-1:2008 Small bore connectors for liquids & gases in healthcare applications - Part 1: General requirements was recently activated as a current standard. Eventhough the date of withdrawal (DOW) for any conflicting national standards to this standard has not yet been published by CEN, NBN has drafted a proposal to extend the transition period from 6 months to 36 months changing the DOW to 30h April 2011, being the date of availability (DAV) plus 36 months.
